Earthquakes of magnitude 4 or more are said to hit the mainland UK roughly once every 2 years. But in April 2007, a tremor measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was felt in Kent, while in February this year, a 5.3-magnitude quake rocked Lincolnshire and was felt across much of the country. Is Britain set for another Big One this year?
