12:30 PM 12/02

Background:

As of August, the Reserve Bank of Australia has set the official cash rate at 7.25%. Following the September meeting, the rate was dropped to 7.00%. So what will happen during the next few months? After the last board meeting of the year (2 Dec 2008) which of the options will the cash rate be?

Settlement requested Mon 13th Oct 11:50pm PDT by oppugner: Givn that the chances of a rate rise when the question was created was low, and the events in the weeks that have followed including the extraordinary drop in rates after the last RBA meeting, I reckon this question could be settled now as really the chances of a rate rise in November or December is probably as likely as aliens landing in Times Square.
