Will Friendster Launch A Patent Dispute Against Facebook By End Of 2008?

Settled as No

No such dispute announced.

Background:

Background: In Friendster's latest press release they claimed that Friendster "has a growing portfolio of patents granted to the company on social networking, with more expected over the next several months.”

The New York Times speculates on whether we are going to see Friendster v Facebook court battle. I can see the lawyers sitting up late at night arguing over what the definition of a 'friend' really is and obviously who owns them,

Settlement details:This question will be settled as yes if it is reliably reported that Friendster has initiated a legal challenge against Facebook with regards Friendster's patents.
