Will the ESA´s GOCE satellite launch on September 10?
Satellite's launch has now been delayed until October 5, while a guidance/navigation subsystem is refitted.
http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/GOCE/SEMAC1P4KKF_0.html
Background:>
To achieve its mission objectives - mapping Earth's gravity field in unprecedented detail - the slender, 5m-long satellite is designed to orbit at a low altitude because the gravitational variations are stronger closer to Earth.
The launch date has already been put into doubt once. Will technical difficulties or unforeseen circumstances prevent its launch on the set date?
Settlement details:
As reported by a major mainstream news source. Whether the mission is a success or not, question will settle as ýes´ if there is any launch of the satellite of the ground for whatever period of time.
