Will the "Rickmat" Bigfoot body be a hoax?

Settled as Yes

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080815/od_uk_nm/oukoe_uk_bigfoot;_ylt=AvW.i1NDjXrslFQ8xzwpeJftiBIF

DNA evidence proves that body which DNA evidence was taken from was not "bigfoot" but was a known creature.

Background:

Background: Rick Dyer and Matthew Whitton are claiming they've finally nabbed "Bigfoot." This week the internet has been abuzz with speculation surrounding the grainy photos the hunters released to the media. A press conference is scheduled for Friday where their "evidence" will shown for all to see.

So what's the claim: The corpse of a "male" bigfoot weighs in at 500lb. In the photos released by Rick Dyer and Matthew Whitton it appears the creature has been decapitated. It's said to be seven feet seven inches, red-haired and flat-footed. Not only did the hunters drag a body back, but apparently they've got video tape footage of Rickmat's friends in the woods and "DNA" evidence....

Don't get your hopes up though most "experts" on Bigfoot aren't holding their breath. For one, Rick Dyer and Matthew Whitton have a website selling Rickmat merchandise which suspiciously appeared right after they announced their find. The public can also take a guided tours in the footsteps of Rickmat for only $499 a time!

Some have suggested the body in the photograph is just a Halloween costume, and one press official said “It’s smelling to high heaven like a hoax.”

All we can do now is anxiously await the "press conference...."

This is so a hoax. The entire story is more likely to disprove "intelligent design than it is to prove bigfoot exists.

The scam artist "bigfoot hunter" on TV is already claiming the hunters moved the body somewhere and he doesn't know where it is. Gee, what are the odds it never actually turns up?

Maybe it's in a safe and Geraldo Rivera will open it on live TV.

Does Bigfoot exist? These men have evidence

San Francisco Chronicle

(08-15) 15:25 PDT Palo Alto -- Irrefutable evidence came to Palo Alto on Friday.

"It was brown and fuzzy and looked very much like irrefutable evidence of a man in a gorilla suit.

"But it wasn't, said two Georgia hikers in baseball caps who rented a hotel meeting room to tell the world that they had found the dead body of the creature known as Bigfoot...

"But the hikers did present three photographs of their find. The clearest one looked like a man in a gorilla suit.

"The fuzziest one - the one that looked like a banana inside a tortilla - depicted what Whitton said was Bigfoot's jaw. That photograph was airtight proof of the existence of something that looked like a banana inside a tortilla. ..."

Whats with the sudden fascination with creatures that are so clearly fake and evidence that is so absurdly ridiculous. First it was the yeti hair, now this.
