EPL: Who will be top after 10 games?

Settled as Liverpool

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/table/default.stm

Background:

Last season the premiership was pretty tight all year, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd looking capable of taking the crown until the last couple of weeks. But who remembers earlier in the season, when Liverpool were still challenging hard, and a bad run by United had them losing to all and sundry and trailing in 4th? (Well, I do, obviously).

Only a couple of days to go now and it's pretty much a two-horse race between Chelsea and Liverpool. The smart money is on Liverpool now, since they would have to slip up against the fragile managerless Portsmouth, but if that happens, and things go the way of the form-book for Chelsea against Hull, then Chelsea may just pip them at the post. I'm keeping a couple of dollars on other, just in case Liverpool slip up, and Chelsea get trounced 6-0 by the seemingly-unstoppable underdogs.

Everybody else is out of the running, in spite of a spirited effort by Villa at the weekend, hammering 4 home against a less-than-mighty Wigan Athletic, and a decent run by Man Utd which has finally seen them stagger back into the top 6.

(Current positions can be found on the Premier League tag page)

Settlement details: As reported by a http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport . Winner will be the team which would be ahead from their first 10 games (current fixture lists mean that Man Utd will play their 10th game at the same time as the rest of the top 4 play their 11th, so the 11th games would be disregarded for the purposes of answering this question)

Does a tie fall under the "other" category?

EPL tie-breaking rules are points, then goal difference, then goals scored. I've never seen it go lower than that, but in the event it does we will look the rules up. There will not be a tie.

After that it goes on head to head results but we won't get two games between them so you may have to void, although I think there's not much chance.
