Is Avril Lavigne too sexy for Ma-laysia?

Settled as No

The concert went well, she dressed down and by all reports did nothing to challenge local standards and the general reports were that all the earlier fuss was unwarranted. There is no news whatsoever about any post-concert legal action relating to the performance. Settles as No (but we'll miss her lovely picture, especially in stuffy old World category). The last report I can find:
http://www.asianpacificpost.com/portal2/c1ee8c441c2e940a011c2eabf57d000a_Protest_quiet_during_show.do.html

Background:

The Malaysian government, which had recently cancelled the Belleville Ontario chanteuse's August 29 concert in Kuala Lumpur because her show is "too sexy", has announced it will allow her to perform. BBC article.

However, getting permission is only half the battle. As the organizers of the Kuala Lumpur Pussycat Dolls show in July 2006 discovered, the "sensuous elements" of the performance led to being fined 10,000 Ringgits for allowing "sexually suggestive" routines. Read all the juicy details.

So, not to get too Complicated, will any member of Avril's "The Best Damn Tour" or the Malaysian concert organizers (When You're Gone, of course, Girlfriend) be censured or fined (or worse) for flouting Malaysia's official guidelines for concert performances, by September 30th/08?

But Don't Tell Me -- make a prediction.

Settlement requested Mon 22nd Sep 10:46pm PDT by notablenotices[Power User]: I think this should settle as "no". It appears this concert did happen on August 29, 2008. Here is a link of a video that came from the event: http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=P4LMd7WyPoc

A lot of news articles annouced that it would happen, such as the following:
http://www.dailystaregypt.com/article.aspx?ArticleID=16003

I can't find any that were written after the fact though, so I included the YouTube video as evidence.
Suspended Thu 25th Sep 8:59pm PDT : Suspend date reached
Settlement requested Mon 29th Sep 7:07am PDT by aland: Hi category editor! The Avril Lavigne concert took place in Kuala Lumpur without incident on August 29th and reports at the time stressed how all was in compliance with Malaysian talent performance regulations and guidelines. It has now been a month and there have been no reports of contemplated action against the singer, her band, her people or the conference organiser. The suspend date passed on Sept 25. I can't find any references that say no action will be taken, but news doesn't generally report the null hypothesis. Is it time to settle this market? Thanks for considering! AlanD (Malaysia)

clarification is she to hot or will she be fined
posted 12 weeks ago
We know she's too hot. At least for young Skipper. So the question is about whether anyone involved with the show gets fined, censured, or even jailed by the Malaysian authorities for her being too hot during her show.

@infernal: Initially, the decision was made in response to an Islamic students' organisation. After it was announced, the musicians' union, some NGOs and a whole lot of bloggers urged the government to allow the concert to go ahead. It looks like the concert is definitely on ... whether there are subsequent actions will depend on what the stage show and audience conduct is like, I guess.
