Which region will Gustav hit as a Hurricane first (Caribbean not included)?

Settled as Louisiana

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIATCPAT2+shtml/011453.shtml

Background:

Tropical Storm Gustav is expected to strengthen into a Cat. 1 Hurricane today as it slams Haiti. Some Hurricane experts are thinking we'll see a major Hurricane form by the end of the week. But where will this possible monster hit?

Current forecasts have the storm developing into a Cat. 3 in the Gulf of Mexico by Sept. 1st. If Gutav enters the Gulf the recent slide in Oil prices may be stopped by a complete shutdown of oil prices in the Gulf.

Settlement details: As reported by a major mainstream news source. Storm must make landfall as a Hurricane. For market not to settle as "Hits above region as Tropical Storm." If Gustav dissipates or hits NC or SC market settles as "Other Outcome."

Does hit mean that the eye crosses over land or that the system effects the weather in a particular area?

Hi,

Hit means the storm makes landfall on the region. If we had gone with it affecting weather in an area this would be to easy to settle, because Gustav will "affect" everything.

I'm just waiting to see HOW Gustav will be able to strike Georgia first, without hitting Alabama or Florida...that would be one amazing storm...buckling down here on the Gulf Coast...hoping for Louisiana for two reasons...win a bit of $H, and if it's Louisiana, then it ain't me!
