Will the Orangina ad be officially drawn back from any European TV broadcasting?

Settled as No

No reports of such

Background:

Complaints in UK
Orangina's current TV advert, which depicts animals dancing and flirting in a suggestive manner, is on the receiving end of consumer and equal rights groups complaints in the UK. source

"We are looking at the complaints, and haven't made a decision about whether or not to investigate yet. This is a question of taste and decency" said Olivia Campbell, a spokesperson for the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). Dr Pepper Snapple Group, which owns the brand, was unavailable for comment. source

Complaints in the Netherlands
Een Frans reclamefilmpje voor Orangina, waarin dansende dieren miniscule bikini's dragen, heeft geleid tot veel klachten van kijkers. source

Will the Dr Pepper Snapple Group officially announce to draw back the commercial in any European country, before end of September, either on own initiative or caving in public pressure?

As a wannabe graphic artist, I think that is a beautiful commercial. I can see it more likely to be banned in the USA than the UK because Americans are uptight about public displays of implied sexuality.

Touching storyline!

the last 20 or 30 seconds was the only "objectional" part in my view. i personally didn't see anything wrong with it. don't know much about the UK standards, but i agree with chatarra the USA would frown on it. i would say if appeals to the 18 to 30 yr olds. i doubt many parents would want their kids watching this. if "trimath" jr gets colicky again he might need to watch it :O)

How prude can you be? I agree, there'd be no surprise if Ohio bans it - but any European state? Nope.

frankly i see more explicit things on tv pretty often. if they were real people instead of animals no one would care.

And thus the furry fandom rejoices at the very existence of this ad...

The whole thing seemed a little sickening, especially considering there is a chance a little kid would be seeing this. Its just not apporpriate for something that can be seen by anyone. Not to mention that bear was flirting around! Bad bear!
