Gustav and Katrina: Who will use them for political gain first?
I could see a Democratic ad bashing the Katrina response with a "too little too late" message, or a Republican ad narrating McCain and Palin's empathy and caring in the current crisis.
This campaign season has been all about the ads so far, so who will make an ad first mentioning either Katrina or Gustav in either word or picture?
Settlement details:
As reported by a major mainstream news source. Only ads released for TV count (no web ads). Must be released by either the McCain or Obama campaign (no PAC ads)

DNC has much more to gain from using Katrina.
RNC has no business bringing up the Katrina disaster,
and Gustov was not (thankfully) as destructive a storm as predicted.
The GOP's decision to delay their convention, to provide relief efforts, went largely unnoticed.
It is hard to really be a hero, if nobody is saved during the process.
Without wanting to sound too cynical, I am wagering Obama's campaign will be first.
