um and they wonder why people said it looked like a bunch of savages durring Katrina.
Granted there was no plan in place but come on people if you have to steal
for survival thats one thing but looting tv's and stuff that is why some people
have steriotypes when you do stuff like that you make them Justified in their
Bigotry (sp) they see the Tv and say well it figures they are all thiefs. Like i
said my money is on more looting because people dont care about others they want
to make them self better off at the expence of another person that has lost everything
then blame the President with stupid ignorant comments like George Bush doent like
Black people.. Ya know what Kanye West doesnt like White people or anyone else for that
matter HE is the BIGGEST RACIST around well Him and Jessie Jackson. but im not
going there. NOW before you repost calling me racist please know that some of my
best friends are all different races and One of my best friends is black and feel the
same way i do

I'm interested about the 'go straight to jail' card played by the mayor - maybe this can settle based on whether anyone is jailed as a result of looting?

Normally I don't reply to flame-baiters but since you decided to throw your soap box front and center, I'll give you something to chew on. There's an old saying, the way you see the world is a reflection of how you see yourself. Liars tend to believe that everyone is dishonest, cheaters always think they are getting the raw end of the deal, and bigots seem to think they are the ones who are being discriminated against. Now, I'm not saying any of these apply to you but the fact that you have friends who are minorities doesn't automatically mean you aren't racist. In fact, your use of the point as a rationalization technique tends to suggest otherwise. Before you reply, I would suggest first looking closely at your rant and ask yourself, does this statement show off your intellect or does it exemplify your ignorance? Something to think about while you are looking in the mirror.

I knew some one would say something along that lines. I am not nor have i ever
been a racist, so lets clear that up front. if you would have read what i wrote then
you would have known that. and i do not belive that someone that was racist would
associate with people from other races. all I am saying is that when certin people
act a certin way they are feeding the steriotypes of people who are ignorant. is it
right NO but it happens. think out of the box here.. lets say you were raised to think
all Canadians were violent and had no respect for athority, then you watch tv and
a Canadian hockey team just won the Stanley(wont happen) and they go to the streets
in celebration and turn over cop cars and riot... Now wouldnt that make you feel
more justified in your steriotype eventhough it is a SMALL sample of the population

Houma isn't New Orleans. However, we have watched New Orleans television news all day long. They reported looting in the city, but didn't give details. I can't imagine a deserted city with no looting. :-)
