Since the admin decided to change my pics and didnt like how i was tagging my questions (putting team names, nfl and over under wasnt enough) I feel as if I have been criticized, not encouraged. I am done creating this market. Anyone else who would like to take these questions on for the NFL season is more than welcome

Amazing that you thought I was criticizing. Here is exactly what I sent you in email: Hey great job on your over under markets. I changed the images to the home team logo. I also fixed the tags. If in the future you could please tag a market with the following: afc or nfc, afc south, north, east, west or nfc south, north, east, west, then full team name.

With the additions we are making to the NFL landing page, having markets tagged uniformly we can more easily follow markets, find markets, and settle markets.

I was one of the first people to compliment you on the rotating pictures, the image you had on these markets of a rotating football were all the same, I was trying to add visual clarity to the markets.

The email you sent me wasn't rude or anything. But yes I do feel criticized. Part of the reason I enjoy creating questions is because its fun to be creative, try different pictures, different styles.
As far as feeling as I was criticized.. you said you "fixed" my tags. There was nothing wrong with the existing tags. Theres no rule about how to tag a question. Its one thing if you want to add a few to make searching for a question easier, but that isnt what you said you did.
If you go to any other category or question, one or two words or phrases are usually sufficiant for tagging. If people want to predict on these types of questions, typing in the team name, nfl or over under would take them right to it. I dont think its necessary to add leagues etc. So you "fixed" something that didnt need fixing, in my opinion.
As far as changing the pictures go, if the question creator cant pick out the ones they would like next to their own questions whats the point of having that option? It would be one thing if a question had no pic at all (again if you ADDED, not changed). It also would be nice if you asked before just changing them. (they were not vulgar or offensive)
I'm sure you know how much time goes in to creating questions. When you create them, you probably prefer to use your own style, as do I. Since my style isnt to your liking, I'd prefer to just let someone else create these.

Well since we are working hard to make the NFL landing page something new and exciting, we are trying to use uniformed tags. The reason I gave you the email about the tags was because typically category editors and super users are forced to edit all the tags, but I noticed that you were very good at creating markets, and figured if I could get the tags uniformed at question creation, it would save the super users and category editors from having to go through them all. We are attempting to make it so a user can simply click on a team name in the standings and see all markets for that team. Also if a user wants to see all markets for the NFC South they can click on that and it will pull them all up. So maybe the word fix wasn't proper, adjust may be better. As far as the pictures, when a user looked at new questions in nfl they saw a full page of questions with the same exact logo. I simply added logos that represented the home team.
I am sorry to see you quit creating markets, as I have said many times I have liked them.

If you are going to email a question creator and ask them to tag their questions in a certain way, you should provide the reason for the request. As a "common" hubdubber, I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes as far as your vision for the NFL landing page. With some explaination for your requests, I may have been more understanding and willing to help hubdub reach its goals.
As far as having all the same logo for these over/under questions, that was intentional. Also for visual clarity. I thought by making this "type" of question with all the same picture, its easier to spot (or avoid!) this market. If the hubdubbers would like to wager on O/Us (or steer clear of), instead of reading every question individually, they pick out the logo being used for that week, that market (when going through "hot" or "closing soon", etc...all the questions get jumbled up) My intentions were to use a different logo for each game day, to keep this market "uniform"

i just went and checked the NFL page. the kind of picture has no effect what so ever on how to find a question. the only function of the pic is visual. so the question creator makes the question and the admin will decide on the pic..now that what i call a brillant "site promoter/improvement maker" decision. as far as destry complamenting letmee on her pics, if memory serves me right all the blinking made him sick. (nice complament) ask her to slow the blinking down. (all about destry) i agree with letme..she created the questions let her use the pics she wants. guess its a mute point now that destry has let his "control obession" cause letmee to stop making the question. wasn't enough for him to screw up the political cat...now he wants to ruin the sport cat. i can't wait for his all i'm trying to do is improve and promote the site speech. your trying to make the site what you want. as letme said....you coulda emailed her and told her what was going on and ask if she minded doing things differnt. no you did it YOUR way..just made the changes then emailed her. please read desty's comments and see how he wants things done so its easiar on him. its not his job as an employee of HD to serve the HD community...its our job to serve him. destry if nigel don't soon stop you, your gonna promote this site right in the ground. its all about making things easiar or you cause your so busy promoting and improving the site. heres a suggestion for you. step down from being an admin and take up the job "site promoter/improvement maker." then spend ALL your time on the job with TWO titles. you'll be the only one on HD with two titles. let somebody who has time (like all other admins) deal with the "common" (nice pharse letme) HD'rs your above doing that. a person with your dedication (make your wagers before settling questions) and concern with the site's well being shouldn't be wasting your time being an admin.

I personally seen nothing wrong with the photos or the tags. The spinning footballs regardless of how many there were was a great idea , and having all the same picture makes sense to me. I personally would hate to have to search threw questions to find all the over under ones , at least with the same picture you know what your looking for. Complaining about the tags is one thing removing someones pictures is anouther , i seen much worse pictures on this site that too me are pretty rotten (ANNA NICOLE MORGUE PHOTO) now theres somthing to change. Questions for this site take time , and finding the right photo to make your question look good takes even more time. Destry u should of asked before you reacted. Your kinda like the kid that take ppls lunch money.

Alot of folks have asked me to keep making these o/u questions. After coming to terms with the Hubdub staff, I have decided to continue with this market. Thanks all those who supported me...and good luck!
