Hood was slated for execution in June, but questions were raised about an affair between the judge in his case and the prosecutor. With issues unresolved that execution date was postponed until September 10. But now, the issues still haven't been resolved and the next hearing on the case is slated for September 12, TWO DAYS after the execution is to be carried out.
Will Hood be executed on September 10?

but the justice system and how it works...It's pretty certain
that he is guilt, and may deserve the death penalty, if
you're in favor of that. But the real question is, did the
system work properly. Was there a conflict of interest in
the courtroom, and perhaps between the sheets.
Now they've rescheduled the hearing to be before the
execution date, so now it's just a matter of their decision
and the outcome of any additional last minute appeals.
