The TIME 2008 Person of the Year will be from what region?

Current forecast: North America (87% chance2%)
Combining all predictions, the current most likely outcome is North America with a probability of 87% (down 2% in last 1 day)

The outcome to this question can be very surprising. Many past winners have not been singular human beings. It's really a guess as to who or what strikes the editors fancy and will sell more magazines.

Settlement details: As reported by a major mainstream news source.

what if it resolves as "you" like it did recently? At least, I think I remember that happening...

It would be "Any non-human entity..." Because a Reflective cover is not human. Looking back, I think Time really copped out on that issue. What a cheezy way to avoid making a decision.

How do you define where the person is "from"? Let's say, for argument's sake, it's someone who was born in the Panama Canal district but currently lives in Arizona. Like John McCain, despite the fact I hope he doesn't get it. Would he be considered to be "from North America?"

John would be North America.

Obama's almost a Lock to receive this accolade. Then again it is like receiving a cursive blessing.

If it is the Prime Mortgage melt down this question will settle as "Any Non Human Entity..." BE AWARE.
