How many US Senators will vote in favor of the Bailout Plan?

Voided

Senate will not be voting on the House version as it did not pass. They will be voting on their own version so another question has been created to replace this one.

Background:

Supposedly the deal has been made and the vote in the U. S. House of Representatives may be on Monday. The Senate is not expected to vote on the bill as passed by the House until Wednesday. There's still a lot of resistance out there, so it's not a done deal.

Changes may still be made in the measure but what will be the number of Senators voting in favor of the Bailout Bill in their final version.

There are 100 Senators and the bill needs 51 votes to pass. The Vice President can cast a vote if it is tied at 50.

Even though the House version didn't pass on Monday, the Senate plans to vote on the bailout issue Wednesday night. Suspension time is changed from 11 AM EDT Wed. to 6 PM EDT, unless the vote occurs earlier.

Settlement details: As reported by a major mainstream news source.

@bear
Can you extend the suspend time past 10/2? I guess the House is re-convening on Thursday to take another shot at amending the bill. That will get the $handle up a little higher on this question. Thanks, Tom.

I was trying to decide what to do with this question. When
it was created I was sure that the House would have passed
the bill and that the Senate would be voting on it Wed.
But now it looks like it won't. Should I just extend the
suspension, modify the question and conditions, or just
void it and start over again? Thoughts?

There currently is no bailout plan. I think it should be void and re-created if/when another plan is announced.

It looks like the Senate will vote Wednesday:

I thought that they had already shot down the proposal? Are they still going to try to do it again?
posted 7 weeks ago
Yeah, they shot it down in the House, so now the Senate is going to try passing a different version.

I see. So i should probably cash in my prediction of yes on "Will the bill pass through the senate unchanged"
