Will Obama's lead in the polls increase over the next week?

Question created by
Background: The Republican nominee John McCain's campaign is in peril following his extraordinary gamble last week to suspend his campaign to thrust himself into the delicate negotiations about the financial crisis.

Republicans in the House ignored him during talks about the bailout, just as they ignored George Bush's appeal to pass the legislation, and Obama is reported to have gained an 8-point lead in electoral polls.

I see Obama gaining a percentage point every week until the last week and then
he will level out at 52 percent and when with 278 of the electoral votes
needed.

Palin's performance in the VP debate, no matter how miserable it will seem to Obama partisans like myself, will probably give McCain a short-lived bounce of 2-3 points.

"Obama partisans"? I thought it was pronounced fools?

This will be interesting because today McCain's campaign announced that they are going to start campaigning in a really dirty way. I guess that's All-America for you.
