Who will be the Nobel Prize 2008 laureate in Literature? (Part 1)

Settled as Other

French novelist Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio was named the winner this morning and cited by the committee as an "author of new departures, poetic adventure and sensual ecstasy, explorer of a humanity beyond and below the reigning civilization." Le Clézio is responsible for more than 40 books, only 12 of which have been translated into English.

Background:

Background: So much possible names, lack of information: it's difficult to compose Q with only 10 options. I divided Q in parts, with different names, which can only interfere in the "other" option.
May be questions would be voided. But I'll try anyway; such an opportunity!
Names and odds are based on Ladbrokes: http://www.ladbrokes.com/lbr_portal?action=go_home&LANG=&STYLE=&VIEW=&LAYOUT=&retURL_g=http%5E//www.ladbrokes.com/FFO/v3/financials.html?action=go_cantor_fof

Nevertheless, I think (and history showed) that uncertainty is so great that it would be fair to put odds for the writers low and biggest percentage on the "other" option.

Announcment is on Thursday, October 9, 1:00 p.m. CET (1100 GMT).

Settlement details:As reported by a major mainstream news source.
