When will Starcraft II be released by Blizzard in North America?
Background: Starcraft is one of the most popular games ever released in the world, still fervently played over 10 years after its release. It is almost considered a national sport in places like South Korea.
Starcraft II is deep in development by Blizzard (makers of World of Warcraft and Diablo), but Blizzard plays by its own rules, truly releasing games only "when they are ready."
And before anyone tries to void or suspened this due to online retailers listing a release date, NOONE has a real release date until Blizzard releases it to the public and retailers simultaneously. They are notorious for NOT leaking these.
It is highly likely it will be released in 2009 or 2010, but I still put an "after" prediction so it will settle a winner no matter what, and a 2008 just in case they surprise everyone.
SETTLEMENT: ONLY BLIZZARD'S OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE.
Clarification: With the news that the game will be released in multiple parts, this market will settle on the release of the FIRST part.
