3rd Presidential Debate - 10/15 - Will any of the candidates say the word "racism"?
No mention in transcripts.
Background:>
Current campaign events have the McCain side accused of race-baiting, from using a black person to link Obama to Fannie and Freddie's downfall to allowing surrogates to use "Barack Hussein Obama" in rallies. The Obama camp, on the other hand, has tried to turn around the subject, accusing McCain of veiled racism when he used "that one" when referring to Obama, and the candidate himself is complaining the republicans don't like him because he doesn't "look like those other presidents on the dollar bills".
Race might come up in the debate to give both candidates an opportunity to clarify some statements, and also to discuss affirmative action, or race relations (recent studies have claimed the latino population will rise to 1/3 of the total in 2050).
Settlement details:
As reported by the CPD transcripts. Only "racism" counts as YES (not "racist"!), and only if uttered by one of the candidates, not by the moderator. If they say it when quoting somebody else's words, it still settles as YES.
