Will Sarah Palin be a guest on the Late Show With David Letterman before the Election?

Settled as No

Nope, he has on Paris Hilton instead (holding sarcastic comments...)
http://lateshow.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/show_info/pants/

Background:

John McCain was originally scheduled to appear on Letterman on the 24th of September, but cancelled due to the financial crisis. Unfortunately for him, Letterman found a live feed of McCain sitting down with Katie Couric to discuss the iminent suspension of his campaign at the exact time he was supposed to be on the Letterman show. Dave spent the next two weeks roasting McCain during his prologues and interviews until John finally returned to make good on his promise earlier this month.

During John McCain's recent interview on the Late Show, David Letterman asked him what the chances are of Sarah Palin's being a guest on his show. Senator McCain replied "Actually, I think they're pretty good."

Of course, now there is only a week to go and Palin remains fairly media-shy. Will she actually make the Letterman show in the next week?

Like the McCain prediction, does this mean an in-studio appearance only?

Yes that was my intention Gtown. The same format as McCain's appearance. I'm sure that is what McCain was referring to when saying that the likelihood was good.

I actually thought McCain came across pretty well in the Letterman interview. The only questionable bit was when he had to defend Sarah Palin and he kept coming back to how proud he was of her and that her husband had won several snowmobile races (?). With the disaster which was the Couric interview I really doubt they are going to let Palin up in front of Letterman.

@nigeleccles - I agree and that's why I'm back to bid some more. They might have been expecting more of a fluff interview from Dave but he stuck to issues with McCain, so I doubt they'll let Palin take that, given how sheltered she's been.

Oh, ...
I bet they get her in. They need all the exposure they can get.

And they certainly can't withstand another one of Dave's onslaught's, now that John has said the "chances are pretty good", if, she did not show up.
