MLB World Series - Philadelphia Phillies vs Tampa Bay Rays - Series Outcome?

The Rays reached the World Series for the first time in franchise history after 10 seasons in the league, and not winning many games in that time. They weren't merely the losingest team in baseball from 1998-2007, only six other teams were within 100 losses of them.
Then came 2008, led by manager Joe Maddon the young Rays squad won the American League East with a record of 97-65. This was the first time a team not named the Yankees or Red Sox won the AL East in 10 years.

To reach the World Series, the Rays beat the Chicago White Sox (3-1) in the ALDS and the Boston Red Sox (4-3) in the ALCS.

Like the Rays, the Phillies have also experienced long periods of struggle and losing. The age of the team combined with its history of adversity has earned them the distinction of having lost the most games of any team in the history of Major League Baseball.
Unlike the Rays, the Phillies organization has been here before, winning the 1980 World Series and making their most recent appearance in 1993. The 2008 season was the second year in a row that the Phillies won the National League East title with a record of 92-70.

To reach the World Series, the Phillies beat the Milwaukee Brewers (3-1) in the NLDS and the LA Dodgers (4-1) in the NLCS. The Phillies enter the World Series on a bigger roll - Including the playoffs, they have won 20 of their past 25 games; the Rays are 21-12 in their past 33.

The first two games will be played at Tropicana Field in Tampa, followed by three games in Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, with the final two games (if necessary) back in Tampa.
