I hope that Obama learned from McCain, and doesn't pull a "Palin" on this all-important position...

I would go with a Democrat here, Kerry or Richardson are both fine, though I favor Richardson here, a hispanic in this top spot. And make Janet Napolitano a woman as Attorney General. Put a few Republicans as Secretary of Education (Colin Powell), and the biggie I would give to a Republican, Secretary of Defense to Lugar. I'm from Indiana, and even as a staunch Democrat, I think he is a good fit to a balanced and multicultural Cabinet.

Exit polls suggest that Palin did NOT bring down McCain's numbers.

Palin didnt really add enough to the mccain campaign. Sure she energized the base of McCains supporters, but she didnt bring enough to the campaign! I mean he was gaurenteed to get alaska anyway so she didnt help him there.
