When will the Bank of England announce the UK recession has ended or is ended?

Background: The Bank of England has stated that the UK economy entered a recession sometime in mid-2008, and that since August the economic landscape has changed drastically. Estimates put economic shrinkage at 2% next year which means the worst of the economic downturn hasn't yet begun.

The Bank couldn't say when exactly the economy entered recession or when exactly we might expect a return to normal, but expects the recession to at least last well into 2009.The economic contraction in may be somewhat similar to those of Sweden, Finland and Norway in the 90s, 'which were deep but relatively short-lived.' We shoudn't expect a long drawn out crisis as was the case in Japan.

So with all that bad news you can now predict on when we'll here some good news!

Settlement details:As reported by a major mainstream news source. The market settles based on information from the Bank of England, which can be via news sources that states the recession is over.

A few days ago one of the governors of the bank, King, or the Treasury, Darling, said the threat of recession was worse than estimated and that more QE was needed.
