Beginning on November 17, travelers from South Korea, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic will be allowed visa-free entry into the US as long as they fill out an internet form. (The form becomes mandatory for these countries as well as 27 others on January 12.) US-bound travelers still need to get a visa if the Electronic System Travel Authorization refuses them.
The US is talking to six members of the EU about joining this visa waiver program. They are Poland, Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Malta and Romania. Jackie Bednarz, a Department of Homeland Security official at the U.S. Mission to the EU, said, "It is our objective to admit additional countries before the change of U.S. administration."
This market will be settled based on how many of Poland, Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Malta and Romania are admitted into the visa waiver program. This market will suspend on January 19 or when one of the six bold-faced enters into the program.
