NFL - "Old men" vs "Young kids." Which pair of QB's will have a better season?

Settled as Rivers and Rogers have best QB rating

Week 16
Rivers 105.5
Rodgers 93.8
"Young kids" = 99.65

Warner 96.9
Favre 81
"Old men" = 88.95

Background:

Last summer, Kurt Warner wondered aloud if an old, grizzled quarterback with a graying beard could be the face of the Arizona Cardinals. Now we’re left to ponder whether he can be the face of the NFL. (at the old age of 37)

Warner back to MVP form

Meanwhile, we all know the story of the oldest QB in the NFL, who came out of retirement to play for the Jets. (at the age of 39).

After 11 weeks, these 2 "old men" are #1 and #6 in QB ratings.

Currently ranked #2 and #5 are the "young kids" Philip Rivers (age 26) and Aaron Rogers (age 24).

Question is asking which pair will have the better QB rating (by average of the 2).

Avg = 99.25

Philip Rivers 100.8

Love the question, and nice job of avoiding the potentially combustible phrase of "old white guys" lol ...

I slapped all the numbers for each QB's opponents into a spreadsheet (py/g, pTD/g, etc...) to come up with the perfect mathematical model that would reveal once and for all the answer to this question. The answer? The Rivers/Rogers schedule is 1.9% easier than the Warner/Favre schedule. In other words, roll the dice.

Great Question, I love these old guys doing the stuff. Inspiration for all of us over 35 who may feel an active physical life is behind us. Now, if only I can get off my dupa, tear away from hubdub and back to training camp.
Thanks for creating such a clever question indeed.

Oh to be so old at the age of 37... Think I shall head back out to the pasture since I have socks older than that.

Week 15 update:
Rivers - 101.4
Rodgers - 91.8
"Young kids" = 96.6

Warner - 97.5
Favre - 86.5
"Old men" = 92

The Jets appear to have the easiest game this week against the struggling Seahawks. Can Favre pull the Old Men's average up?!

many "old men" are young at heart, more experienced and in much better shape than some "young men" so this question poses interesting possibilities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
