Who will win Mashable's Open Web Award for Social News?

Thank you to every one of you who voted for us in the Open Web Awards for Best Social News Site . We’re delighted to say that out of a list of websites which included giants such as Digg.com and Mixx.com, we came in second, with first prize going to the lovely Peter Shankman at Help a Reporter Out .

Background:

Background: Open Web Awards is the only multilingual international online voting competition that covers major innovations in web technology. Through an online nominating and voting process, the Open Web Awards recognizes and honors the top achievements in 26 categories. Quite a variety of competitors in the social news field from juggernaut digg to 'i am news' who doesn't seem to have a discernible website. Who will win this prize?
Update: Finalists are Hubdub, regator and Help a Reporter Out. Those of you still holding stock in Digg might think about dumping it now!

People don't read the news because it is of much use; they read it to show how much they know and how well they can analyze it. This is where Hubdub differs from Digg or Reddit.
