Will meteorite fragments be found from the Nov. 20th Canadian sighting by 12/1/08?

LLOYDMINSTER, Alberta (AP) — Scientists said Friday they had found remains of a meteor that illuminated the sky before falling to earth in western Canada earlier this month.

University of Calgary scientist Alan Hildebrand and graduate student Ellen Milley found several meteor fragments near the Battle River along the rural Alberta-Saskatchewan border, near the city of Lloydminster late Thursday.

Background:

On Nov. 20th a great ball of fire passed over Alberta and Saskatchewan. It was caught on video and seen by many people. One witness said it's size was between a chair and a desk. This question wants to know whether or not any fragments will be found by Dec. 1st, 2008.

How can they possibly identify the fragment as being from "that" meteorite? The Earth get pelted by these things all the time although not quite so visibly. So some farmer finds a fragment of a meteorite, will this settle as yes?

They have their ways and solely taking farmer Brown's word for it is not one of them. Frank, go to this site for a forensic link to how a sighting in 2002 was handled in Alberta, Canada.
