UFC- Who will be the next Heavyweight champion?

Current forecast: Frank Mir (27% chance2%)
Combining all predictions, the current most likely outcome is Frank Mir with a probability of 27% (up 2% in last 1 day)

The mountain with muscles, Brock Lesnar, just TKO'd Randy Couture to get the Heavyweight title. Personally I think that the next guy he fights is going to send him crying back to the WWE. Frank Mir beat him.

To be honest I dont think any of these guys with the exception of Fedor or Nog can beat Brock. Mir beat him after Brock pummeled him and was close to being KOed/having the fight stopped. I cant see Brock being as lax with his submission defense this time. Of the people on this list only Fedor will beat him standing, and only Nog can survive his standup to eventually take him down and pull off a submission. I have never watched the WWE so im not a fanboy but its hard to write this guy off. He put up a good fight against Mir, destroyed Herring and smacked Couture. All this with only two previous MMA fights.

I'm not on the Lesnar bandwagon. He's good but I think either Mir or Nog will beat him. Mir learned at least as much from the fight as Brock. I also think that Fedor would beat him and (I know this might make some people mad) Arlovski. Any ideas about anyone I left out?

Nope, that seems to be all the relevant heavyweights. Im a big fan of Arlovski, I would love to see him fight Brock. He would deal Brock a beating on his feet but hell get dominated on the ground. And now that I think about it, even though I dont think highly of Gonzaga he would do well against Brock. Hes built like a gorilla, has good standup and great on the ground.

Yeah I agree Arlovski would deal Brock a beating and I think he's smart enough to work hard on his takedown defense. If he beats Fedor I could see a potential Lesnar/Arlovski match-up (maybe for UFC 100, at Madison Square Garden). Although I like Randy Couture, lets remember that he moved to HW because he couldn't compete in the UFC's stacked LHW division. Add to that a year of ring rust and the age difference, Brock's win just wasn't too impressive.

Of course the Lesnar vs Arlovski fight wouldn't be for the title after Mir or Nog destroys Brock. But Arlovski will be offered a SWEET deal with the UFC if he beats Fedor (who recently lost a sambo fight in Russia). On the other hand, will it be enough to pull him away from the high payroll of Affliction? I don't know.

If Arlovski beats Fedor Dana White will polish his knob big time. Hell pay Arlovski a heavy heavy heaaaaavy check then tout him as one of the top 2 or 4 fighters in the world. Then hell throw him in the octagon a few times with people who he matches up good against and Arlovski will win. All this will be his plan to make Arlovski appear to be one of the top pound for pound fighters (Hes a great fighter but hes not at the top of that list, in my opinion) Dana was Sure Nover was going to win the finale and started the hype a little too early. Comparing him to GSP? Hes all about hype and duping new MMA fans into believing the UFC has ALL the top tallent and everyone else is garbage and not deserving of a contract. Dont get me wrong, I love the UFC lol but Dana gets slightly irritating.
