Background:

Background: Another question asks if the Dow will drop below 7000, but suspends in a few days. This question looks at the same topic in the opposite way and will take us through December. The Average only has to dip below 7000 on an intraday basis for this question to be settled as NO. It does not require the market to close below 7000.

SUSPENDS on December 24th.

We're going to suspend this one until the other similar question reaches its suspension date, which is this Sunday night.

This one will reopen on Monday, Dec. 1, and run until its suspension date in late December.

WHY?

This site really sucks. I really can't stand the way you make up the rules as you go along. First you personally approve this then do an about face and suspend it. What are the complaints, and what is it hurting by being open??? I've been wasting too much time with this crap anyway. Good excuse to call it quits.

Sorry you feel this way, but after some comments directed to me, it did seem as if this question did duplicate the other one a bit too much to be active at the same time. To preserve this question I made the decision to temporarily suspend it until the other question had suspended at its designated time. Perhaps I shouldn't have allowed it at first, but I didn't want to void the version you'd created. It is a good question and should get a great degree of interest during the month of December while the other one is suspended.

It is a shame the question has been suspended, as it offered some easy arbitrage pickings! Oh well...

@Capt...it's only suspended until December 1...there's another similar question out there that suspends on 11/30, so once it does, this one will open up again...you'll be able to place additional wagers or cash out those that have already been made....

Welcome aboard Captain!!
