I took a group on a trip and one was very large...not only was it a discomfort for him, but also for the person seated next to him, and as he sat in an aisle seat, it also caused some problems for the attendants and others trying to pass.
If there were some seats...6-8 on each flight that were reserved for bulkier passengers that might address some of the issues. If not needed, then other passengers could get the benefit of a larger, more comfortable seat.
Maybe there could be some sort of process set in place to determine who qualified for those seats.
