Will there still be a print edition of The Age newspaper by December 31 2010?
Current forecast: 66% chance

Combining all predictions, the current forecast is that this is 66% likely to happen (unchanged in last 1 day)
Melbourne's Age newspaper is in crisis. Once it enjoyed a splendid source of revenue from classifieds, now that is largely disappearing. Circulation numbers are propped up by a plethora of giveaway schemes which disguise a genuine collapse in people buying the newspaper to read. Advertising rates are in freefall. A worldwide economic slowdown threatens to make a dreadful situation worse. Their one bright spot, their website attracts a decent audience, but that has been incapable of reproducing the rivers of gold revenue that once flowed into the newspaper. Can The Age's print edition survive in these very difficult circumstances?
Settlement details:
As reported by a major mainstream news source, such as Melbourne's most popular newspaper, the Herald Sun.
