Did Johannes Heesters have a gig in the Dachau concentration camp in 1941?

The 105 years old Entertainer of dutch descent who is mainly known in Germany is sueing a publicist for accusing him of appearing before the SS-guard in 1941. It seems to be certain that Heesters visited the camp, but will the Berlin regional court decide a performance to be proven?

Johannes Heesters (born December 5, 1903) is a Dutch actor, singer, and entertainer with a 87-year career, almost exclusively in the German-speaking world.

Aged 104, Heesters holds the record of being the oldest performer worldwide who is still active, both on the stage and on television.

Johannes Heesters took a complaint to a Berlin court in an attempt to force author and documentary filmmaker Volker Kühn to withdraw his statement that he entertained SS troops on a visit to the concentration camp in Dachau in 1941.

Heesters, who is believed to be the world's oldest-performing actor, does not deny visiting the concentration camp, but rejects charges that he sang there.

"It never happened," he said on his website. But Kühn argued that he has evidence to back his claim - a videotaped interview with a former prisoner, Viktor Matejka, who went on to become Vienna's councillor for cultural affairs.
