Will Chris Matthews run against Sen. Arlen Specter in the 2010 Pennsylvania Senate race?
Current forecast: 33% chance

Combining all predictions, the current forecast is that this is 33% likely to happen (unchanged in last 1 day)
Sen. Arlen Specter is the Senior Senator for the State of Pennsylvania and a member of the Republican Party. Sen. Specter has his Senate seat up for re-election in the mid-term season in 2010.
Chris Matthews is the host of the show "Hard Ball with Chris Matthews" on MSNBC and his contract reportedly expires in June 2009.
There is speculation that the MSNBC pundit will run against the Senator as a Democrat challenger to the seat which Specter has held since 1980. Matthews was previously a speech writer in the Carter Administration and an aide to former House Speaker Tip O'Neill. There has been suggestion that he has spoke with senior staffers of Obama's campaign about a possible run.

By Paul J. Gough NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - MSNBC may find out soon whether 'Hardball' host Chris Matthews returns to the invigorated channel. Matthews, 63, is said to be considering an offer from NBC to remain as host of 'Hardball,' a job he's held

However, I think he will. Problem will be if he runs and the GOP start running ads taking him out of context from his show.
