Background:

Well as if getting suspended for a game wasn't enough, the star receiver for the Giants almost shot himself in the foot, actually missing and shooting himself in the thigh. Luckily, no bone or major blood vessels, but the bullet did go through muscle tissue.

Burress was already going to be sitting our the Sunday game against the Redskins due to a hamstring problem, this surely has to be worse.

SO, will he be able to return to the lineup if the Giants want him to? Will they play him again, or simply try to focus on winning and leave their troubled star out of the mix?

Question suspends January 1, 2009 unless settled earlier by having Plaxico play, having the Giants season end, or having official word from the NFL or the team that Burress will not play for the remainder of the season.
