MLB - Will Junichi Tazawa play in a Major League game for the Boston Red Sox in 2009?
Current forecast: 24% chance

Combining all predictions, the current forecast is that this is 24% likely to happen (unchanged in last 1 day)
The Boston Red Sox and Japanese pitcher Junichi Tazawa have agreed to a major league contract, according to two newspaper reports.
The 22-year-old right-hander, who has never played professional baseball, agreed to a deal worth about $3 million, the Boston Globe reported Monday. The Boston Herald reported Tazawa likely would sign a three-year contract.
The Red Sox, who already have Japanese pitchers Daisuke Matsuzaka and Hideki Okajima, would put Tazawa on the 40-man roster, but he likely would begin next season in the minors.
Will Junichi Tazawa take the field and play for the Boston Red Sox during any regular season or post-season game in 2009? Being on the Boston Red Sox roster will not be enough to settle this question as "Yes." Tazawa must actually play in a game to settle as "Yes."
