Although the NBA has a "Big Three" in LA, Boston, and Cleveland, "The Field" is pretty damn good too. It includes 3 of the past 4 champs (San Antonio and Miami), as well as the Finals losers Dallas.

The Field includes:

Atlanta (4th in the East)
Miami (6th in the East)

Denver (2nd in the West)
San Antonio (3rd in the West)
Dallas (5th in the West)
Phoenix (8th in the West)

Playoff race is solidified much more:

FIELD includes:
4. Atlanta
5. Miami
6. Philadelphia
7. Chicago

2. San Antonio
3. Denver
8. Dallas

Thats 7 of the 16 teams, though admittedly, only 3 are likely to even make the second round - SA, Denver, and Miami.

Field, 5-2 first round game one, and both losses against another "field."

Philly up 1-0 over Orlando
Atlanta up 1-0 over Miami (both are Field, however)
Chicago up 1-0 over Boston

Denver up 1-0 over NO
Dallas up 1-0 over SA (both are Field, however)

Conclusion: 2 locks into second round. DAL/SA winner and ATL/MIA winner. While CLE and LA are *CLEAR* favorites for the finals, the "Field" looks like it will be full of solid teams, and if there is an upset, this stock of teams looks to benefit.

Ok i am confused. I have money on CLE that was wagered when they were at 37%. As of this writing, they show in the graphic at the top of the question as being at about 75%. Yet, the "value" for my wager is listed as 43%. Is this an error, or am I missing something???

Oops....never mind. Someone must have just bet - now the top is showing 43% also. Never mind...

@ wallysparks - we've unsuspended certain questions when it appeared that the options were still uncertain enough to have some predictability. Hubdub rules also discourage leaving questions suspended for long periods of time as long as the outcome is not obvious as well. Actually, the suspend time on the original question was good. However, there are enough options left to unsuspend it. Looks like things are just heating up!

How was the original suspend date good, when there were more than twice as many teams still in it than there were when it was unsuspended? Is it because the Rockets tied the Lakers at 2-2? Or because Denver was runnng over Dallas? There's something I'm not getting, but I'm not too concerned about it.

I created the question so early I was unsure of playoff schedule. When I realized question was suspended I requested it be re-opened since there was still multiple options available, outcome still very much in doubt...
There are similar questions that run to final game in just about every other sports category like most soccer leagues, IPL, football, etc....this is not uncommon.

My appologies for suspending early, but that is what I do when unsure of exact date knowing question can be re-opened once specific schedule is in place.

I have the Magic at .09%. The team I have at the highest is 1000 on the Lakeshow at 6%. I make a shitload no matter who wins, lol.

This question is all win.
posted 25 weeks ago
Wow. I put money on the Cavs when they were at 5%, but 22% now? That\'s a little much. Especially considering the fact that the Magic have a 3-1 lead and a home game left to play. The Cavs certainly don\'t have a better chance to win it all than the Magic.
posted 25 weeks ago
Yeah, but the NBA and advertisers would sure like to see Kobe vs. LeBron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
posted 25 weeks ago
i really hope the cavs pull through to see kobe vs lebron
posted 24 weeks ago
Kobe is not getting a rings this year just like LeBron I don't care if President Obama selects Lakers to win NBA Finals

Check that statement at the door Blacksoapman.

Lakers will win in 5 or 6. They have NO answer for Kobe and the front lines are equally talented as a whole.
