Will a Man or a Woman be appointed to fill Clinton's vacant Senate seat?

Settled as Paterson Appoints a Female

Background: Caroline Kennedy just dropped out of contention to fill Hillary Clinton's abandoned Senate seat. Governor David Paterson was taken by surprise. He had planned to announce Clinton's replacement on either Friday or Saturday. He now is faced with a new tough decision. The people want Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. Paterson is sympathetic to the representation of Women in the Senate. Who will he appoint?

Taken from www.boston.com

Polls have showed voters preferring Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo for the position.

Paterson had planned to announce his selection on Friday or Saturday, but it was not clear how Kennedy’s move may affect the timing. The governor has been coy, and while he has praised Kennedy, he has also spoken approvingly of other candidates, including Cuomo and Representative Kirsten E. Gillibrand, who is beginning her second term in Congress from the Albany area.

Clinton resigned from the Senate yesterday, immediately after being sworn in as secretary of state. The governor has said that he would like to select a woman to succeed her, noting that if he were to choose a man, the number of female senators would drop to just 16.

WILL SUSPEND ON SATURDAY MORNING.

hey kennyk....Ask yourself the posted question and answer it with YES or NO. It would not make any sense. If another species was an option I would have changed the words.
