Background: The Autonomous Orbiter Rapid Prototype is a system designed to allow NASA to retrieve a Shuttle from orbit (or try to anyway) without the need for a crew onboard.
The system consists of a cable 8.5 meters long and 16 connectors to allow the operation of key Shuttle systems via remote control from the ground and is currently stored on the ISS.
