Background:

Background: The daft.ie Rental Report will be published in mid-February, with an index up to and including January 2009. The January 2009 figure as a proportion of the January 2008 figure will be used to determine the rate of change.

The last Daft.ie report gave an annual rate of change for October 2008 of -8.9% (93.4/102.5). (For reference, between October 2007 and January 2008, rents rose 0.7% .)
