Will it be found that Japan's Hayabusa probe did actually collect samples from asteroid Itokawa?

Background: The Hayabusa probe, whose mission is to return samples from asteroid Itokawa that may have been collected in November of 2005, has started the second phase of its return trip to Earth.
The Hayabusa probe is planned to land in Australia in June of 2010.
Due to a mechanical problem during retrieval attempts, project scientists are not completely sure that they actually have managed to retrieve any samples.

Will it be found that the Hayabusa probe did actually collect samples from asteroid Itokawa?

Hayabusa project page : http://www.jaxa.jp/projects/sat/muses_c/index_e.html

Settlement details:Question can settle as yes on an announcement from JAXA (http://www.jaxa.jp/index_e.html) that samples HAVE been obtained. If the probe does not return or return in one piece the question can still settle as yes if JAXA announces that samples WERE obtained even if they are now destroyed or unobtainable.
Might haves, probably's, and "in all probability" do not count.
It will probably take a physical inspection of the probe after landing for JAXA to know for sure so the suspend date can be extended if the probes return is delayed.
