NBA 2010 - Where will Amare Stoudemire be playing on Opening Day?
Background: The free agent bonanza of the summer of 2010 will be nothing short of epic, and forever alter the future of multiple teams and the NBA itself. Multiple future Hall of Famers will be available as unrestricted free agents in the prime of their career, a situation that is unprecedented.
There are more than just the major guys I am listing here, too. So the consolation prizes are guys with multiple all-stars and some more HOF'ers. The following also have their contracts expire or can opt out: Nowitzki, Shaq, Joe Johnson, Ray Allen, McGrady, Ginobili, Nash, Boozer, Chris Paul, and the 2006 draft class (Roy, Gay, Aldridge, Bargnani, Rondo).
July 1, 2010 is the opt-out date for the big names. Cut-off date for predictions is a few days before the 2010 season, but it will be settled well before then.
