Will another octopus attempt to escape from her aquarium?
Background: Background: On February 25, a California resident attempted an escape from her home. While this may sound like an ordinary prison escape, the attempt was made by an octopus. A California two-spotted octopus attempted to escape from the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium.
The female octopus swam to the top of her tank where she disassembled a valve. As a result, at least 200 gallons (757 liters) flowed onto the aquarium's new floor. As the octopus watched, employees managed to clean in time for the aquarium's first group at 9:30 am on February 26. After the flood, the octopus was apparently named Flo.
