Where will Texas rank by State with the CDC for Chlamydia infections for 2008?

Background: CDC shows that Texas has consistently ranked

So you're going by total number of cases, not cases/100k, correct?

vg point, frogchop. When we really look at those tables to see how prevalent chlamydia is in the respective populations, Washington D.C. was #1 by far in 2007 with Alaska #2.

just plain using the numbers that were provided by StateMasters that led me to StateHealth that led me to CDC. All 3 parked Texas behind California and yes, by # of cases, not cases per 1000.

They DO however do that when it comes to teenage birthrates...a category in which Texas seems to also excel.

I plan on doing a series of Q's on this stuff. But I'm always slow to create long term q's cuz I like the quickly settled stuff....it helps my q stats which aren't that impressive....still....should I get axed at some point here, it'd be nice to know I'd live on for awhile with my long term stuff....ha. On that note I have an idea for one to settle a few years from now....

CDC stats are always a wealth of information, but the frequency of reporting is pretty slow. I, too, can't stand long settlement dates. The shorter the settlement date, the more I'm willing to throw into a market.

The porn questions are great because they're easy to research and easy to settle with short settlement dates. Keep up a mix of both. I don't think you're anywhere near getting the axe, but that doesn't mean they won't axe more of your Qs over time.

Unfortunately, one question I'd like to see would probably get the axe as a death pool. I'd love to see one between suicide rates and homicide rates. You could do something with the ratio of suicides to homicides since it's almost alway 1.5:1 or so. Another one would be suicides: teens vs. 70s. People's assumtions are usually wrong on this one in a big way. All these would be educational, which is really my point, beyond just making good questions and money making opportunities.

Yeah....I don't know how to spin those stats so they are less death like, lol. I too prefer betting on short term q's....I LOVE THEM. I get frustrated sometimes trying to get q's into Politics cuz Destry has som fetish over suspensions not happening any earlier than 6 months down the road, I swear. Like every q must reach it's natural conclusion...it can't be ' is not reported by this date ' or something.

Anyhow...on an entirely unrelated note, check this piece of info out:

"Under Israeli criminal law, sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl are not illegal as long as her male partner is no more than three years her senior."

I wonder if it's rape if the perp must marry her, agree to never divorce her (of course unless she commits adultery in which case she is stoned to death) and he has to pay the girls dad 50 shekels. That's how 'they' do it under Mosaic Law.
