Background: The scandal that rocked the political world last year is back.. or at least the National Enquirer says it is. They are reporting that John Edwards has finally confessed to being the father of Rielle Hunter's baby despite repeated denials last summer. Although they gained some credibility by originally breaking the affair story, one has to wonder why John wouldn't have just admitted to the baby at the time instead of making the disaster take that much longer to play out...

With the upcoming release of Elizabeth's book, Resilience, in May, there will continue to be plenty of fingers pointed for the next several months. Time will tell if anything actually comes of any of it.

So the baby is almost certainly his and Elizabeth has a book to shift. I'm sure the least that he could do is give her some launch publicity.

@chatarra - Its not dependant on an DNA test. Any of the principals can settle the market by admitting the baby is his.
