Will the Israeli embassy in Mauritania re-open before March 6, 2019?

Background: On March 6, 2009, Israel closed its embassy in Mauritania. The closure came hours after Mauritania gave Israeli embassy staff 48 hours to leave the country. The actions take place days before Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi visits Mauritania. Gaddafi has pressured Mauritania to cut its ties with Israel.

Mauritania froze relations with Israel and recalled its ambassador to Israel in January. Relations between the two countries have been strained since the 2008 Israeli offensive in Gaza.

As of March 5, 2009, Mauritania, Egypt and Jordan were the only members of the Arab League that recognized Israel as a sovereign state.

Why settlement date is 2019? US new administration is in favor of a Palestinian state. If the creation of Palestina will happen, recognition of Israel by all Arab states should be a logical consequence.
And a question that will be settled in one or two years is more "betting friendly" than one that will be settled in ten.

I agree with bgrigore. Why 2019? What can you tell us about the year 2019?

in 2019 i suspect the jury will be in on whether or not climate change is a reality.

and health care and quality education will be thriving for all.

but texas will still have the highest rates for the clap and every other STD out there, cuz some folks just can't learn.

@bgrigore and randburg:

There are two factors that I considered in creating this question.

First, all of the news that I cited occurred after Barack Obama was elected President in the US. If the current Mauritanian government was optimistic about their relations with Israel, it would not have frozen those relations.

Second, Mauritania is politically unstable. There was a coup in 2008, which marked their third change in government since 2005. This latest coup was widely condemned by Western nations. (Mauritania is currently suspended from the African Union.) As a result, I assume that the current government would not necessarily change their relations with Israel just because other nations do so.

@onedave:

Great question! I didn't even know about Mauritania before you created this!
