Will CPI-U meet/beat +1% for any month in 2009?

Settled as No

The largest increase was back in June when it rose 0.7%, so it did not reach 1% in 2009

Background:

Background: Stat being tracked here is the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers as tracked by the Bureau of Labor Statistics in the United States. Please see this link for a sample explanation:

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/cpi.nr0.htm

Interestingly as recently as Nov 08 the CPI-U was a negative 1.7%, now in Feb 09 it has turned to a +.4%, a 2.1% swing in just 4 months! Will the trend continue or will it level off?
