Will a second style of iPhone be released in 2009?
Background: Apple introduced the iPod, then several more generations of the same. Meanwhile they introduced the mini/nano, the shuffle, and the iPod touch.
Will Apple do the same was the iPhone?
To settle yes, Apple must introduce a new parallel style of iPhone -- a new product line and not just a new generation or higher/lower capacity or faster/slower version of the main unit. And it must be a phone (i.e something like the iPod touch does not count, and a small notebook -- even one that can talk to the phone network -- does not count).

works well as an emergency extended battery, but it is not something you'll want attached to your iPhone or iPod all the time. If you own more than one Apple handheld product on the list below, this is the extended battery you'll want to have, but mostly

(2009-08-08) — Just days after the White House asked Americans to report their fellow citizens to flag@WhiteHouse.gov when they see, read or hear ‘fishy’ information about health care reform, there’s an app for that.
The new ‘iCU-R-Fishy’ application for iPhone, created by the makers of the popular ‘Tap Tap Revenge’, employs the revolutionary device’s ability to capture photos, audio and video, as well as text messages, email, websites and precise location via GPS.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said the iPhone app would be “a terrific truth tool in the hands of true patriots.”
Civil libertarians have raised concerns about the administration’s use of private information about citizens who are simply exercising their First Amendment free speech right to question or protest the government takeover of America’s health care industry.
However, Mr. Gibbs called them “alarmists who are just sowing the seeds of mistrust between the president and his loyal citizens.”
“Why would we need to gather personal information about our opponents?” he said. “That would be a wasteful duplication of existing data.”
