How many of the Berlusconi babes will be MEP's after the Euro elections?

Settled as One of these four

Barbara Matera, one of the named females, is indeed a MEP. Mea culpa.

Background:

Background: ”I want to give Europe a new image of my People of Freedom Party, I want new, young faces."

Silvio Berlusconi has unveiled his latest leggy line-up of prospective candidates for the upcoming Euro elections.

Camilla Ferranti posed semi-naked for a variety of calendars and magazines and has also appeared in several Italian soap operas. It emerged last year, that Berlusconi had rung the head of the state television company RAI and "suggested" she be given a role in a top TV series.

Barbara Matera is perhaps the most qualified with a science degree but is better known for her appearance in Miss Italia and her TV career where she has appeared as an announcer and in several soaps. ”I have always wanted a career in politics but I didn’t feel I was ready but Silvio says I am and I think I will work very well in Strasbourg. (...) I feel I am ready for the challenge."

Angela Sozio has appeared on Grande Fratello, Italy’s Big Brother, and was famously snapped sitting on Berlusconi’s knee two years ago at his luxury villa in Sardinia. The group was dubbed "Berlusconi’s Harem" by the Italian media and in other photographs Angela was seen holding hands with the premier.

Eleonora Gaggioli who also has a glittering past as a TV star and a search on the internet for her throws up several photographs of her posing in her underwear on a leopard print sofa. Like Camilla, Eleonora was also named in the so-called Silvio tapes last summer.

How many of these four candidates will be elected MEP's in Strasbourg after the Italian European Elections (June 6) representing Italy?

I was not familiar with MLB. Now I know that it is something about the baseball championship.

Its funny when big men really open up to each other. Let's drink a pint (or a 16 ouncer ) to this occasion. MLB means Major League Baseball. You sound like a sportsman who gets confused with sports on other continents, just like I do. ...............We Rock!!!

Berlusconi is obviously trying to compete with the "Yes Men" in making fun of international politics. What about adding some stand-up comedians, midgets and homeless people (e.g. terremoto victims) and fit them with those cute "Ape Cars" as official cars...

Silvio Berlusconi may be one of Italy's most popular politicians, but the premier's approval ratings are sinking fast with at least one Italian — his wife.

Veronica Lario publicly voiced her rage over reports that Berlusconi's party was lining up a troupe of TV showgirls and starlets as candidates for June's European Parliament elections.

Thanks lcsnor for the link. I just wanted to go heavyly on 2,3,4 because this is Italy with a pornstar in parlament a few years ago. Berlusconi´s movement is the biggest political force and berlusconi controls 50% of Italian TV. But obviously Mrs Berlusconi was more tricky/powerful.

Italian premier Berlusconi's wife seeking divorce

Premier Silvio Berlusconi's second wife is seeking a divorce after 19 years of marriage and three children, citing his reported flirtations with younger women.

"The impudence and shamelessness of power offends the credibility of all (women), damages women in general and especially those who have always struggled to defend their rights," Lario said in a statement to ANSA.

She also lashed out at the premier's reported attendance at an 18-year-old woman's birthday party in Naples, saying she was surprised "because he never came to the 18th of any of his children, even though he was invited," according to ANSA.

It is a wrong settlement link this one (http://www.europarl.europa.eu/members/public/inOut.do?language=EN&page=1). These 160 persons are replacement members for some of the parliamentars elected in 2004 that left for various reasons, also the new parliamentars from Romania and Bulgaria the two countries that become a member of EU in 2007 and organized elections in the same year 2007. If you look at the date they join European Parliament you will see 13th September 2004 - 08th May 2009 range.
The new list of parliamentars is not yet released because the result of 2009 elections is not final in all the EU member states, results are still provisional as of today. The final results will be known for certain at the first meeting of the new parliament which is July 14th, 2009.

@kruijs The link you provide http://www.europarl.it/ressource/static/files/4.pdf is not the complete list of Italian europarliamentaries, although it confirms that Barbara Matera was elected.
