Will the Minn. Rep. apologize for her bizarre gaff where she connected the swine flu to Obama?

Settled as No

Background: Republican Minnesota Representative Michele Bachman has openly implied a connection between the swine flu epidemics and Deocratic Presidents in office. She finds it "..interesting that it was back in the 1970's that the swine flu broke out under another Democratic president... just an interesting coincidence.." With her wrong fact (the last swine flu round was during Republican President Ford's watch) and her dumb logic, will she be woman enough to admit the error of her opinion?

Settlement details:As reported by a major mainstream news source. She needs to say the word, "sorry" or "apologize", and connect that to her regret for implying a bug and a political affiliation can be linked.

OK, I feel like ranting, so here it goes :-)

If I am reading correctly, the error in logic referenced appears to be based in an error of fact, which is shared with the creator of this question... the quote given connects Democrat (not democratic, which means something else, but I digress) presidents with the outbreak of swine flu.

Swine flu broke was reported to break out in 2009, while the USA was being ruled under President Barack h. Obama, who is a Democrat. Nothing factually wrong with that part. She did mix up the party affiliation of President Gerald R. Ford in 1976, which is what this question should really be about.

Incidentally, she didn't bring up the outbreak in 1918, when the USA had Thomas Woodrow Wilson (also a Democrat) for President.

Every time Michele Bachman opens her mouth, she says something deeply, incredibly ignorant or racist or insane or evil or just flat out stupid. She apologized to Obama for one of her comments back in the fall, but I think that pretty much exhausted her store of common decency and common sense. We'll neither seen nor hear an apology about this.

Perhaps the most merciful messiah, the lord Barack Hussein Obama, could show some compassion and loan her his teleprompter.

I thought her connection of "Swine Flu" referred to Obama's stimulus budget with all the pork he included.

"Democratic" is a valid, and indeed the only valid, adjectivalization of the noun "Democrat." Democrat as an adjective is primarily a epithet used by Republicans to refer to Democratic politicians; it is true that lowercase "democratic" has a different meaning, being the adjectival form of the noun "democracy."

I guess we disagree there. You don't usually capitalize an adjective. :-)
