US Box Office: How Much Will 'Star Trek' Make in its Opening Weekend?

Settled as 75 to Less than 85 Million

75.2 million, just over the line!

Background:

Background: Opening May 8 in 3500+ Theaters.

Synopsis: The greatest adventure of all time begins with Star Trek, the incredible story of a young crew’s maiden voyage onboard the most advanced starship ever created: the U.S.S. Enterprise. On a journey filled with action, comedy and cosmic peril, the new recruits must find a way to stop an evil being whose mission of vengeance threatens all of mankind.

The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock (Zachary Quinto), was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before! --© Paramount

From the official rules-
# 2.3.3.1 US Movie Box Office
- "Opening weekend" will run from Friday to Sunday

- If the opening weekend for a specified movie falls on a holiday weekend the outcomes for a question regarding opening weekend will be calculated using this extended weekend unless otherwise stated.

My take is that it should be settled for just the weekend only, I set the odds and spread up for 3 days not 4.
I apologize if it was unclear, I will try be more on top of that in the details, in the coming weeks.

@chull - Yes, thanks for finding the rule quote. This is weekend only (will likely be about 72 mil)
